  1. I think freedom train is going to be about Harriet Tubman. At the beginning it is going to be about Harriets life and her talking about how her escape plan is going to work and at the end her parents are going to die.

    1. You did a good job for your prediction, but you dod not add any detail! It was just very short and simple. So I suggest to add all the details in between, what is going to happen and so on... Anyway, there were no spelling errors or grammar errors, it's just that you have to add more detail!
      Hope this helps! :)

  2. My prediction for the book "Freedom Train", is that it will be about Negro slaves that want to be free. One reason why I think it will be about this, is because of the title, "Freedom Train". Those two words remind me of the Underground Railroad, which was a travel route with many stops to get supplies from kind people. Another reason why I think this book will be about slavery, is because the picture shows a group of Negroes, who look like they are runaway slaves escaping from their slave owners.

  3. -Freedom Train Prediction.

I think that the novel "Freedom Train", will be about an African girl and her mother. They are forced into slavery, (persecution). One day the girl feels that enough is enough and she has to find a way to escape. She knows that if she is caught she will suffer severe consequences. She has a big plan but her mother feels as though there is no hope to escape, until... The little girl and her mother are working and they hear a train go by. Everything feels as though it has fallen into place and they inform other Africans being forced into slavery, about the plan. They worry that the army will find out about there plan soon enough, so the very next day they go and do the plan. Everyone made sure to go at nighttime when none of the soldiers were paying attention to them. When they run away their life changes, her mother gets a wonderful job, her daughter attends school, and for the others came little by little, even though the army did not know they had escaped, (thinking that the people are decreasing because of them not doing their job and resulting in being killed. The little girls mother becomes so grateful and thinks..."The freedom train".. everything happened because of it.

:) Hope you enjoyed my prediction!

  4. Prediction - In my opinion, I believe that this novel will be about the slaves that worked for the americans and wanted to escaped. These slaves started a group of people that would then escape into a peaceful place were they could not be prosecuted. They chose Canada and begin their Journey... They arrive in Canada to find a peaceful valley were they live happily ever after...

  5. @Sandy_Squirrel

Very Precise and thought out prediction! Your Prediction was very long and I think this could have been altered to be shorter as it could still contain all of your thoughts... You have a great idea of the story and I believe that if all your ideas are like this you could possibly write your own book! Once again, Great job!

  6. I think The Freedom Train is going to be about kids who were captured when they were babies and are forced to work. They start to plan on an escape out of the concentration camp. It takes them few years to plan the whole escape plan. They escape out of the concentration camp and meets a kind man who was willing to take care of the children. The children lived with the man for couple of months but the they were getting worried if they would get caught or not. The man were worried about that also so he decided to send the children to Canada. When the children gets to Canada, they find a good place to live in and lives peacefully.

    1. Nice prediction Oreo! I liked how you involved the title of the book to make the prediction more believable. Although, I would suggest you make your prediction a bit longer and you should add more reasons why you chose this prediction.

  8. I think that this book is gonna be about a girl who goes and helps slaves escape to freedom. At first, she starts as a slave. She eventually gets stronger and thinks about the meaning of her life and figures out that they are treating her unfairly. She then runs away from her master and finds a man who comes and helps her escape to an area where slavery has been abolished. Eventually, a new law passes where people have to show full identification to make sure that they are really born free. She finds out that there is another place that is free. She finds out about Canada. She creates this underground from the slavery state and eventually she helps a lot of slaves to escape. In the end, she is put into court for destroying property and stealing and her consequence: DEATH. She died a Hero and a 'Moses' to the people.

  9. PREDICTION:

I think/predict that this novel will be about a little girl, around the age eight. Looking at the cover, it looks like her name is Harriet Tubman. Anyway, I think that she lives with her mother but her father passed away due to starvation. I predict that she works with her mother as slaves, because they are black people. They have to try to survive by just living in a little ghetto with more of their family who are also slaves. They only get paid a small amount of money, so it's very difficult for them to live and survive. There are many other families just like the Tubman family that are struggling and are slaves, and they also have the same skin colour. Later, everyone in the area finds out that there is a train coming to get and rescue all the slave people. So Harriet and her mom decide to go and try to runaway just like most of the other people that live in the ghetto. Now, Harriet has to try to live in another city, acting differently.

    1. Hi Pooh Bear!
You should say, "around the age OF 8", in sentence one. You should say African instead of black. You should add an ending such as if they have a happy life etc. Good job overall and great use of details in the middle. Very smart prediction!

  10. I believe that Freedom Train is about an eight year old girl named Harriet who is a slave with her family. I predict that the girl finds out about a train that is coming to save all the slaves who work for a very cruel master and mistress who don't let them eat a variety of food. I also think the girl tells everyone about the train and they try to escape to a new world and place were they can be free and live there life to the fullest. Like not to worry if they do something wrong and get in trouble by the master and mistress. As they escape I think the master and mistress find out the slaves have escaped from them and they go to get them back from where they've gone too. Meanwhile well the slaves are trying to escape they go though many troubles that are: trying to get food and water to survive, keeping everyone safe, making sure no one gets lost from the group, and make sure they make it on time. I believe the ending will be them in Canada where they all start a new life and all live their full life. This is what I predict freedom train will be about.
